VAT and e-invoicing for accounting firms
VAT in the UAE is 5% on most goods and services. How it applies to your fees, especially for clients outside the UAE, is a question you would put to a colleague for a client; put it for your own firm too, then set it on your items. Standard-rated fees reach the box of the emirate your office is in, box 1d for Ajman.
Your invoices to businesses are in the e-invoicing mandate. A firm under AED 50M in revenue appoints an accredited service provider by 31 March 2027 and transmits from 1 July 2027. Aqid ERP signs each invoice as PINT AE XML now; it is not a provider itself, and its connection to one is not yet live.
The VAT 201 is a working paper: each box opens to the invoices and bills behind it, and you type the figures into EmaraTax. The layout has not yet been checked with a live filing.
