Who uses this
In United Arab Emirates
A business with branches in more than one emirate can tag every line to its branch and read a balance sheet for each, with the branch's own commercial registration on its documents. The tag is for reporting only: the VAT 201's split of standard-rated sales by emirate still comes from the emirate recorded on each invoice. Wages paid through WPS reach a project once the payroll journal lines are tagged, and a retention on a contract invoice is released when the work is accepted.
