How to give an auditor read-only access and read the audit trail
Invite the auditor with an end date: they see the books but change nothing, and everything they open joins the audit trail.
Steps
Invite the auditor
Choose Settings → Users, then Invite an auditor: the Auditor (read-only) role is chosen and access ends in 30 days. Change the date under Access ends (optional) and choose Send invitation.
Their landing page
When they sign in, the auditor lands on a page linking the general ledger, statements, documents, e-invoice archive and audit trail, which tells them everything they open is recorded.
Read the audit trail
Choose Reports → Audit trail, under For accountants; filter by user, action, record or document type and choose Export CSV. One document's trail is under More actions → History.
Extend or end access
On the Users page the auditor's row shows Access until, with Extend 30 days and End now; otherwise access ends by itself on that day.
