In short

Riyadh's companies are often several companies: a holding, an operating arm, a branch or two. Aqid ERP keeps each one's books apart under one login, clears its tax invoices through ZATCA, and reads the group together. The Premium plan fits, at SAR 219 a month, with a 60-day free trial. Not built yet: Consolidation is a report, not posted eliminations, and a sign-in works in one country, so a Riyadh group with a UAE company uses two sign-ins.

Business in Riyadh, and the part Aqid ERP plays

Riyadh is the capital and the seat of the government, the banks and most companies' head offices. Consultancies, software and IT firms, real-estate developers and holding companies work from the city, and many of them run more than one legal entity: a parent, an operating company, a branch in another region.

That shape is what the page is about. Each entity keeps its own ledger, its own ZATCA device and its own VAT return; the owner reads consolidated statements across them, with ownership shares and the intercompany balances shown. A group in two countries uses two sign-ins, one per country.

How a business in Riyadh runs on Aqid ERP

One login, several companies

Set up the holding and each operating company as its own company. Each has its own chart of accounts, invoices, ZATCA device and VAT return; you switch between them without signing out.

Consolidated statements as a report

The group's profit and loss and balance sheet come out in one currency with each company's share and the intercompany balances listed. Consolidation is a report, not posted eliminations: the entries stay in each company.

Head-office payroll and costs

Payroll for the head office runs with GOSI and the Mudad file; its cost can be tagged to cost centres so each department, or each company it serves, carries its share.

Tax invoices cleared through ZATCA

Fees invoiced to corporate clients go out as tax invoices with UBL 2.1 XML, a signature and a QR code, cleared through ZATCA once each company's device is connected.

A month at a consulting group in Riyadh (example)

  1. Say a consulting group in Riyadh invoices SAR 850,000.00 of advisory fees in October, all at the standard rate. That is SAR 127,500.00 VAT, SAR 977,500.00 in total, on tax invoices cleared through ZATCA or simplified invoices reported to it.
  2. A supplier bills SAR 120,000.00 plus SAR 18,000.00 VAT for office rent and software, posted against a purchase order and tagged to the Riyadh office.
  3. Payroll for 42 staff runs with GOSI contributions and a WPS salary file in the Mudad layout, and its cost is posted to the books from the same run.
  4. The VAT return shows SAR 127,500.00 output VAT and SAR 18,000.00 input VAT, so SAR 109,500.00 to pay before any other purchases. Each box opens to the invoices and bills behind it.
  5. These figures only show the arithmetic. How VAT applies to your supplies is for your tax adviser, set up before you start invoicing.

The rules in Saudi Arabia, and what Aqid ERP does with them

E-invoicing: ZATCA's Phase 2 reaches VAT-registered businesses in waves. Aqid ERP produces the UBL 2.1 XML, the XAdES signature and the QR code, clears tax invoices and reports simplified ones once your device is connected with an OTP from the Fatoora portal. It implements Phase 2 end to end and is tested against ZATCA's published rules; its listing in ZATCA's solution-provider directory is in progress.

VAT: the standard rate is 15%. The return is prepared from the books in ZATCA's layout, and every box opens to the invoices and bills behind it. Filing on the ZATCA portal stays with you or your adviser.

Payroll: GOSI contributions by nationality, a WPS salary file in the Mudad layout, end-of-service accruals and payslips in Arabic and English, posted to the books from the same run. Employee records carry document expiry alerts for iqamas and passports.

Zakat and income tax are not computed; the year-end statements they start from are kept as you work, for you or your adviser.

You connect your device with an OTP from the Fatoora portal.

Does it run Saudi payroll?

Yes: monthly payroll in SAR, GOSI contributions by nationality, a WPS salary file in the Mudad layout, end-of-service accruals and bilingual payslips. Starter covers up to 5 employees; Growth has no limit.
