How to set price lists and stop sales below a minimum price

A price list prices a customer's sales documents for you; the guards refuse a line under an item's minimum price or over the seller's discount cap.

Steps

  1. Set the guards

Enter a Minimum price on the item under Inventory → Items. Under Settings → Selling price guards, choose what a sale under the item's average cost does.

  2. Cap discounts

Set Most its holders may take off a line (%) on a role under Settings → Roles, or a Discount cap % for one person under Settings → Users.

  3. Create a price list

Choose Settings → Price lists, then New price list: its currency, validity dates and a rule for unlisted items. Open it to add item prices or change every price by a percentage.

  4. Give it to a customer

Choose the customer's Price list under Sales → Customers: their invoices, quotes and sales orders are priced from it. Another list is picked in the document's Price list field.
