Mudad

The platform through which Saudi employers submit the Wage Protection System file and pay salaries, linked to Qiwa, GOSI and the banks.

In Arabic: مُدد

Meaning

Mudad (مُدد) is the platform the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development designated for wage compliance and payroll. Its compliance service receives the monthly WPS wage file and checks it against the employees registered in Qiwa and the wages registered with GOSI; its payroll service can also compute and pay salaries directly from the employer's bank account. Every establishment with employees has a Mudad account tied to its unified number.

For an accountant the practical point is the file: Mudad accepts a wage file in its own format, or the figures can be entered or imported from payroll software. The net per employee must equal what the bank paid to that employee's IBAN, in the same month, or the employee shows as unpaid and the compliance rate drops.

Also called: Mudad platform · مُدد · WPS portal

Example

After the October pay run, Al Noor exports the WPS file from its payroll system and uploads it to Mudad. Mudad reports twelve employees paid in full, matches the bank's transfer records, and the establishment's compliance for October reads 100 percent in Qiwa.
