PAM (Public Authority for Manpower, Kuwait)

Kuwait's labour authority: it applies the private-sector Labour Law and suspends the file of an employer that does not pay wages.

In Arabic: الهيئة العامة للقوى العاملة (الكويت)

Meaning

The Public Authority for Manpower (الهيئة العامة للقوى العاملة) applies Kuwait's private-sector Labour Law, Law No. 6 of 2010, and keeps each employer's file of registered workers. Under article 56 wages are paid in dinars, a monthly wage at least once a month and no later than the seventh day after it falls due; under article 57 an employer with five or more workers pays into their accounts at local banks.

PAM automatically suspends the file of an employer that has not transferred the salaries of the workers registered on it. Since 28 September 2026 the Central Bank of Kuwait's Kuwait Wage Payment System monitors private-sector salary transfers in real time, with PAM supervising employers' compliance.
