How to turn a quote into a sales order and an invoice

A customer accepts your quote: confirm it as a sales order, then invoice and deliver from it. Only the invoice is a tax document.

Steps

  1. Open the quote

    Under Sales → Quotes & Proformas, open the quote.

  2. To sales order

    Choose To sales order. A draft order is made from the quote's lines and names the quote.

  3. Confirm the order

    Choose Confirm order: it takes its SO- number. It posts nothing and owes nothing.

  4. Invoice and deliver

    From the order choose Convert to invoice, and To delivery note when the goods leave. The order shows Invoiced once its invoice is out.
